What is The Rosary
The rosary is a set of prayers, often prayed with a set of beads, that is geared toward leading the praying person into a deeper relationship with Christ through meditation on the mysteries of His life, especially as lived through the eyes of His mother, Mary.
It is the most widely promulgated private devotion in the church. It is not part of either the divine liturgy of the mass or the common prayer of the Church, The Liturgy of the Hours. However, it is widely prayed by both the laity and the religious and can have a major impact on your life if you develop a personal devotion to the Rosary.
Below you will find instructions and other information as concerns the Rosary. As a member of the Knights of St. Patrick you are not required to pray the Rosary, but you will find that it is a part of the daily devotion of many organizations and many parishes. If you do not already pray the rosary regularly then it is highly recommended that you start praying.
